Postpartum Support

My primary goal as a postpartum doula and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor is to nurture growing families, focusing on the needs of the parent(s) and baby. This includes helping parents feel more confident in their roles, sharing education on family adjustment, bonding, soothing, feeding, and tending to the unique needs of the postpartum body and mind. My ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job by helping families find ways to make these challenging early months of new parenthood easier and more sustainable. I work with each family individually to determine their particular needs.

Client Love

“A friend gifted me postpartum sessions with Maris – it was the best gift I could have asked for. Maris was such a nice, calming presence to have in our home the few weeks after my son was born. She helped me with breastfeeding, which was a HUGE help those first few weeks, and helped with whatever else I needed. My son loved her and would fall asleep as soon as she held him.” – Jenny G., Brooklyn
